It's their curiosity that gets us. So many of these animals are so curious by the cameras and the humans holding the cameras, and we honestly find that fascinating. They are disconnected enough from the human world that they don't automatically see us as a threat, just as a new thing to experience and story. A new thing to explore. And we, enamoured as we are with pretty much all animals, are just as happy about them interacting with us as they are to do the exploring. These are some of our favorite images on the internet, and we can only hope that many more photographers will share their versions of these pictures in the future.

If you have never heard us talk about how much we would love to cuddle with a big cat one day, let us tell you… that is one of our biggest dreams ever. Of course, we thought that this is something that requires years of experience working with animals, and lions in particular, something that requires raising them and being around them and having them get to know us. But apparently, all you need is to become a photographer. And that seems like a little more realistic of a goal. Maybe. We're certainly jealous of those who went in that direction in their lives and are getting to live our dreams.
